Help us smash forgotten pottery ; off of the roof of Oak Hammok Marsh! One ticket includes smashing three pottery pieces. All proceeds go to Oak Hammok Marsh #savemanitobaswetlands
We have so many pottery pieses that have been forgotten, but still look amazing! Pick out one bisque fired piece and paint it like its your own. Funds go towards Oak Hammok Marsh and firing costs. (cost is per person)
What to Expect
Join The Pottery Bug Studio and Oak Hammok Marsh teams in smashing pottery. We will be throwing pottery off of the second level balcony, painting fired pottery, supplying popcorn, and so much more!
(Entry to Oak Hammok Marsh Discovery exhibits can be purchased seperatly and are not needed to enter charity event).

We will be located on the second level balcony look for our signs!

We will be throwing pottery off of the second level balcony from 11am-4pm!

Glazing pottery will be taking place all day from 11am till 4pm. Weather permitting we will be painting on the second floor balcony. If there is rain in the forcast we will be in the second floor Teal Room. You can select any of the pottery peices and decorate to your hearts desire! We will be firing your pottery a week from the event date. We will be contacting you via phone to pickup your pottery at our studio (288 Mcdermont Ave.).

The Pottery Bug studio will be selling popcorn, and other snacks on site. Proceeds will be donated to Oak Hammok Marsh.
If you are looking for something more substantial there is also a wonderful Cafe on the second floor that supplies drinks, snacks, and meals! The Cafe is open from 10am - 3pm. -
Face Painting will be availible for all ages from 11am - 4pm! Donations are recommended but not required.
Where to Find Us
We will be hosting the charity event at the Oak Hammok Marsh Discovery Center. Please Select Discovery Center on your Maps App. If you type in Oak Hammock Marsh but don’t specify the discovery center, you will end up in the marsh! Look for the Manitoba Atraction Signs along the highways.

The Pottery Bug Studio has been open for 3.5 years now and we have seen so many customers. Some people never come back for their pottery or have told us they dont want it. We have saved these pieces for a future charity event; and now the time has come!

Oak Hammok Marsh has always had a very special place in our hearts. Kate; the owner of The Pottery Bug Studio grew up in Stonewall and frequently visited the Marsh. We have a passion for conservation and love to see the wetlands thrive!

Map Apps will give you two options when looking for directions. Please select the Discovery Center at Oak Hammok Marsh. Oak Hammok Marsh is just off of Highway number 67 , between highway number 7 and highway number 8. Watch for the Manitoba Attraction signs.

Absolutly! You will have the option of cash or card. Please keep in mind that booking a time slot on our website will get you priority!

We will be having our cherity smash event outside on the second level balcony. If the weather shifts or changes we will be moving the facepainting, and painting pottery inside the building. The pottery smashing will remain outside on the balcony. We will set up market tents to prevent clients from getting too wet.
